On the computer that I scan with I have installed the Type161 TWAIN V4 and it comes with something called the 'Network Connection Tool' (the 1045 drivers did not come with this tool). I also have a Ricoh Aficio 161 that I can scan with (these units are at different locations but on the same domain). On the computer that I am trying to scan with I have installed the Type1045 TWAIN V3 drivers. On the server I have installed the 5e, 6 and RPCS drivers for the 1045. I have a Win 2003 Server that I can control the printer through. Aficio 1045 connected to the network through the NIC card. If I do in fact have the incorrect drivers installed, which drivers do I need? Any suggestions and sorry if I botched the point value - it's my 1st post. I have also installed the Type1045 TWAIN V3 drivers. Users can print to this 1045 without a problem. I have attached a picture of the error I am getting. I have tried the 5e, 6 and RPCS drivers and still cannot scan (I have tried DesktopBinder Lite and the MS Office Document Scanning utility). My problem is that I cannot scan from any computer the 1045 is installed on. I have a Ricoh Aficio 1045 and it is hooked up through the NIC card to our network.
